Luna and the Moonling

Luna and the Moonling is a cute push-block puzzle game developed and published by Greyborn Studios. It was released for PC on September 21, 2018. (Official website)

This is a charming puzzle game where players control two different characters with unique abilities and must use them to work together in solving the puzzles. Although inspired by classic push-block puzzle games, this game also has lots of switches, traps, enemies, and powerups. Don't let the calm music and simplicity of the first levels fool you; the game boasts 60 unique hand-crafted levels, and by the end of it, you'll be running and dodging traps and enemies like Indiana Jones.

Development

Greyborn Studios was founded in 2016 by industry veterans Scott Blinn and Michael Ryan. Development on Luna and the Moonling began the same year. I joined the team in the summer of 2017 and worked on various systems and internal tools, including entity behavior, enemy AI, shaders, Steam cloud support, UI, and terrain mesh generation. Most of the game's core logic was already implemented by this point, so I mostly fixed bugs with these systems and implemented new features, such as Steam cloud saving/loading.

Overall it was a great experience working on this game, and I'd suggest giving the game a try for any puzzle game enthusiast.
