About

Hello, I'm Christopher Salcido, a senior software engineer, musician, and composer. I have an avid interest in creating things, whether it be games, music, stories, or anything else. This website is here to share those interests through my hobbies, ideas, and projects.

What I do

My work is primarily in software development. I am interested in games, systems, graphics, security, and software design for clean, maintainable, and scalable code. As a senior software engineer, I'm always seeking to improve code and help others learn and develop their own skills. At home I like to spend time designing software and games.

I also work infrequently as a freelancer as a music composer for various small gigs. This includes writing music for video games for video projects. When at home, I spend hours writing and recording music and as playing piano.

My work includes writing and performing music for several indie games including, Elette, Iktsua, and Starstruck: Hands of Time. I've also helped develop games including Iktsua, Starstruck: Hands of Time, and Luna and the Moonling.

Background

I gained a B.A. in Music Composition, an A.S., and certificates in C++ programming and MIDI in college as well as eight awards for my work as a senior developer. Other experience I've gained over the years includes experience in audio mixing, video editing, 3D modeling, and animation.
